The challenge
The Jacobs Foundation was established in 1989 to promote closer collaboration between researchers and policymakers in development and learning. Despite recognition by academics and successful programmes in Colombia, Ghana, Côte d'Ivoire, and Switzerland, the Foundation was struggling to connect its global messaging with its experience on the ground in key markets. As a result, it did not achieve its full potential in effectively making the case for evidence-based interventions at both global and local levels.
Our solution
Led a full rebranding process including developing a new narrative tailored for key audiences, updating the brand identity, redeveloping the website, and refreshing all digital channels
Developed a comprehensive, multi-channel communications strategy mapped to key stakeholders
Supported engagement by senior leadership at critical UN conferences including the UNESCO SDG4 Stocktake and UN General Assembly
Built relationships with global, sector, and local journalists covering education policymaking
Drove online engagement from key stakeholders through targeted digital campaigns
Our impact
Built recognition for the work of the Jacobs Foundation across their key geographies and strengthened stakeholder relationships, placing evidence at the heart of their interactions and resulting in improved education policymaking. The Foundation has developed partnerships with the British, Colombian, Ghanaian, and Ivorian governments and its work has been cited as best practice by the World Bank and the Global Partnership for Education.
