Atalanta is a social enterprise whose mission is to increase the number of women holding senior government positions worldwide and accelerate programmes that tackle the root causes of gender inequality. We provide communications and political consulting services to a range of clients including: political candidates and parties, government ministries, NGOs, and corporations.
Experience & Skills
Atalanta is seeking a junior associate for a full-time position, based in London.
A successful candidate will have a strong interest in communications, political advisory, and digital strategy. Ideally, the candidate will have internship or full-time experience in communications and public affairs campaigns either at an agency or in-house. Excellent writing skills are essential and writing samples and a timed writing test will be required.
English language fluency is a requirement. Additional language skills (particularly French, Spanish, Portuguese or Arabic) are preferable but not required.
Written products will vary, depending on client needs. Such written materials may include:
Drafting compelling and persuasive talking points;
Drafting written communications materials for clients including press releases, blog posts, and whitepapers;
Researching and fact-checking long-form written pieces and reports; and
Communicating complex information using non-technical language that is accessible for a wide range of audiences.
The candidate will support with media outreach on behalf of clients. Activities will include:
Researching and compiling tailored media lists; and
Assisting with media outreach.
Supporting project delivery on behalf of a diverse range of clients. Specific responsibilities may include:
· Drafting of background briefings to support the project team;
· Keeping track of project timelines and deliverables, using Asana (project management software);
· Preparing meeting agendas and taking minutes; and
· Compiling activity reports.
Digital Strategy & Implementation
Supporting digital strategy on behalf of a diverse range of clients. Specific responsibilities may include:
Developing engaging and creative social media content, across a range of formats and platforms;
Implementing paid promotion strategies and assisting with advertising strategy and targeting; and
Compiling reports analysing performance of social campaigns, across a range of metrics.
While the majority of the work will be more substantive in nature, the candidate will be expected to provide some administrative support, including:
Scheduling of client meetings;
Assistance with managing contacts database; and
Assistance with occasional travel logistics for the CEO.
The candidate must have the right to work in the United Kingdom. Visa sponsorship is not available at this time.
Compensation will be commensurate with experience and industry standards.
