Atalanta Founder and Chair, Eva Barboni, has been named as Executive Director of Enterprise Britain—a movement of entrepreneurs, business leaders, and investors who feel compelled to act, now, to build a better future for the UK.
The group has been created to push back against the narrative of decline that has taken hold in Britain and reawaken the country’s ambition. In its first report, “Time to Act”, Enterprise Britain released a bold set of policy recommendations aimed at helping great businesses to grow and ensuring that future prosperity is shared more widely.
Eva has been involved with the organisation since its inception last year, working closely with Co-Chairs Stephen Fitzpatrick and Brent Hoberman, and Senior Advisor Carolyn Dawson to shape its strategy and lead the preparations for its launch, which took place today.
The launch was covered widely, including features in Sky News, Bloomberg, The Times, and CityAM, amongst other outlets.
Speaking about the launch and her involvement in Enterprise Britain, Eva said: “I moved to the UK 15 years ago, and I’ve chosen to build my career, my life, and my business here. I’ve endured the sleepless nights and stress of being an entrepreneur—and experienced the joy of seeing my company succeed. I’ve also seen firsthand all the things that make starting and scaling a business in the UK harder than it needs to be. So, I jumped at the opportunity to join Enterprise Britain as Executive Director to help address some of those challenges head-on.”
Eva will continue to serve as Chair of Atalanta as she takes on this new role.
